Tonight's Lunar Eclipse

Did any one get pics of it? There's rain and major overcast that prevented my area from seeing it. It was supposed to be a total lunar eclipse too.

my telephoto lens hates low light, and i had the iso set too high.. i got out there JUST as it was going red. But, that gives you a general idea.

I'm such an astronomy nerd. The moon was sandwiched last night between Regulus, the twinkling star in Leo, and Saturn. Was really neat to see when the moon was in totality.

sweet! Some nice pictures they are. Supposedly the next lunar eclipse won't be for like another 8-10 years, but the next Solar Eclipse should be sometime in August of this year.

The local radio station had a contest for whoever could take the best pic of the eclipse, but since there wasn't a good shot, some people would submit pics of their bare asses or one take pics of the one being shown on tv, or take a picture of their wrist watch saying 9:30 with a thumbs down and the overcast as the background. So the people of the radio station just randomly drew a name to see who got the freebie digi cam.
