the return hose on my charcol canister looks to be on its last legs, so I was hoping to replace it. I was wondering, since fuel vapors travel through it, does certain hose need to be used?

I would just remove it, unless you need the emissions in FL. Any silicone hose will work just fine. I removed all of that on my ride and have had no problems, but I am in SC and not FL. We don't have emission testing yet.

Please don't give advice unless you have some clue about the subject you're talking about.

How rusted is it? Just a section or the whole thing?

i never put my canister back after i did my headgasket because the rubber hose was dry and snapped off, and i never had a problem, also the VSV was broken too so the other vacuum hose just hanged around the bay

Not good advice, HeavyD.

If you are talking about the line from the fuel tank to the canister, they make fuel/emission hose, any auto parts store shoudl have it.

^this. Consider it solved.
