To paint or not to paint

Ok I should be getting my block back next week I hope. ? Is should I paint it or just leave it alone? If I paint it I'm doing it in neon green or burnt orange. I just think if I'm going to do all this work heck it should have a little o wow when I pop the hood.

Those colors are worse than the smurf blue,. Thats just me tho. I guess green would be sick but its not going to match 1 thing on the entire car. Orange is even worse.

But dont leave a block unpainted just to rust paint it something at least i guess.

I vote black like stock lol.

Should have been painted before assembly (i.e. right after it's removed from the cleaner and before greasy hands get all over it)

Painting it now it going to be tough as you have everything on it, not to mention getting it clean enough for paint to stick properly...

anything aslong as its not neon pink. but as stated if you dont paint it will rust and look like shit in a year from now.

Nice colors are pretty much pointless on the block. With the engine assembled and in the engine bay, not much of it is visible.

Ok the plan is to go with green just the block and polish everything else and I mean everything. Then put some green led lights down on the frame rails just to set it off at night. Plus all my ic piping has blue silicon so my thoughts are blue and green and polished won't be to bad plus when ya pop the hood at night people go oooo and ahhh lol.

I don't know IJ, the last person to paint his block purple instantly hit over 700whp. I haven't seen him post here in a while, but I think his name was kwanate or something like that.

You can paint the inside of your block like the old school guys do. IMHO, if you have a glowing green and blue engine bay your car is going to look like Leonardo.uke:

The previous owner of my car had the nerve to paint it....... WHITE... came out all white/brown/black.. so i went ahead a spray painted it BLACK. No regrets.

Y? Y do what everyone else does? So I'm wrong for trying to try and make something diffarent from every one else. See it then knock it down. And yes I know I asked but is this to ricey?

I think you missed my point. Old school domestic guys used to paint the INSIDE of their blocks to speed up oil drainage. I'm personally in support of the word "Rice" being directly linked to an immediate ban, it's ignorant. Do whatever you want bro i'm just messing with you. I think most people who buy a supra are attracted to the raw power, and neons with a green block seem to be more show-car like, so your vision is lost in translation. I WOULD however, stray from the green if you do decide to paint it, but I don't know you. MAybe you have awesome design skills. lol

No matter what color you paint it, it will all be covered in oil within a year. You say 7m? Make that a month.
