Mine is pretty sad looking from jacking it up there ;)

I'll reinforce it and add a jack locator when I pull it to install the Poly bushes.

So it turned out bad for you ?

I so far have seen no repercussions of this yet.

Also what color should the trans fluid and differential fluid be?
Im sorry about asking alot of questions but I really dont have anyone to teach me.

Mine was green. Lime/slime green. The fluid I replaced it with was some $6.50-$7.00-a-bottle-Valvoline crap I bought from an auto parts store that was also green.

Now Redline Gear oil apparently is the BEST STUFF YOU CAN BUY FOR YOUR TRANS AND DIFF! I read about it here AFTER I bought the other stuff! At $10 a pop, I couldn't afford it at the time anyway!! I THINK it's red, hence the name "Redline".

I saw a article in Project Car magazine where they had Redline Shockproof Gear Oil in a tranny and it was red. But WHATEVER color it is, get it. It's good stuff.

Long answer, but i figured it would be helpful.
Btw, a 15/16" socket with a 16 or 18in. long 1/2" breaker bar are your best friends for removing gear oil bolts...or any bolts for that matter! I didn't even have to get under the car to check it with those!!

So I tried to get under my new Supra for the first time today to change the oil and found that I can't get my jack under the front cross member (which is what I do with all my other vehicles). I have used the pinch points in the past with my other vehicles when rotating tires. Are the pinch points that much weaker on Supra's than other vehicles? Do they make low profile jacks that will fit under the cross member? Or have others had success with Mass' approach?

I have to drive the car up onto 2x8's to have a hope in hell of getting a jack under the car. I also use a large piece of wood to distribute the weight of the smallish jack pad and to try and save the cross member from any dents.

I will be building myself a set of extremely safe ramps this summer so that I don't have to jack the car up unless I need the wheels off.

I have seen no damage using the CM, I do have my car up quite often but I have not owned my car close to as long as IJ. My floorjack's got a rubber pad on the lifting plate so I have seen no scratches or dent's on it.

My car is stock height and I have a rather low jack, but I can't fit it underneath the front of the car. I end up hitting the lip.

I normally use the tow hooks, one side at a time, to get jacks in place. Any possible adverse effects of that? I figure if they're strong enough to pull the car, they better hold up 1/4 of it at a time...
