I'd be more concerned about getting all of the blasting media out of the flex section before coating. (Aluminium oxide gets into every crevice)

alright, update, im going to pull an all-nighter driving to my home in eastern washington to pick up the parts and then drive back with the parts. the place only bakes on fridays, and he's not baking next week. He said usual price for a long tube set of sbc headers is $125, and a dp is usually $35. Im hoping to have everything done for $90-$100. I don't know if I can pull this off, but I'll try to get the hook-up. Also, what color do you guys think I should get the upper intercooler pipe coated. I think I'll do Black.... I like black. They do all kinds of colors, charcoal, blue, grey-blue, black, perma-chrome, and some others. but black is the best insulator they have by 20-30%

When I got my turbine housing ceramic coated, it was a huge difference! I didnt have heat shields on my other turbo and it got insanely hot under the hood, but since getting it coated, I can make runs and still hold my hand 1-2 inches from the turbo without getting burned. If the price is right for you, I would definitely get the ceramic coating.

i got my parts, but ive decided against coating the wastegate. its down far enough that air should be able to cool it without effecting under hood temps.

yikes, it ended up being $140, ill take some pics when i get the stuff back. I couldn't do the intercooler pipe in black cause it doesn't fully cure until you run it through a heat cycle of 700 degrees. The cerma-chrome fully bakes in their oven at 550, so im getting it in that color. Im also getting part of my bov powder coated in a blueish grey looks hot

are you having the coating done in spokane? if so at PMS?

i had 4 pistons locally coated with 2000* ceramic and cost 120$ so dont expect A+ work for those prices.
