I was just offered a truck for $50. story behind it:my moms bf's friends dads truck. he died. it needs the trans to be put back in. its got the straight 6 4.9 carburated. comes with a extra motor. the frame is rusting. but it has beena midwest car since 86'. i would be putting the trans in and fixing the minor issues. keep in mind the car has sat for 4 years. the interioir would need a carpet. under the bay it would need a brake master and booster. i would get this thing running for teh cheeapest ammount possible. and ride around with a forsale sign in the window haha. eventully i think it would get either a chevy 350 and th350/400 or a 5.0HO out of a foxbody. so the question is waste the $50 or is it worth it cus it can be saved. it has that little bit that screams at you i can be brought back. but a full resto is not in the checkbook thats for sure.

not up here in WI. theres so many cars jsut rotting away i had a rear end ttoaled out mk3 with a 7mge 5spd. everything in it called a junk yard they said they would take it off my hands. i ended up only getting 50 fo it. my idea. was to just get it running. clean it up paint it. and put a winch in back and keep it for winter.
