Smile Empty Soul (Very honest/LA based Nirvana-ish music)

Burn Season (Harder Rock/Florida based)

Nonpoint (Hard Rock/Nu-metal maybe, Florida Based)
(Currently Touring)

Skindred (Raggae-metal-punk-hip-hop/UK based, Very interesting)

Ya, i dont mean to discourage people from responding, but I was trying to stick with rock.

Please share any "rock" bands you guys like that aren't exactly household band names. The idea is to spread the word on up and coming or lower profile bands.

I seem to hate emo kids that think their life is gonna end just because someone didn't want to be their friend on myspace. and I hate emo kids all together anyways. they should just kill themselves and get it over with, instead of trying to make everyone else around them feel like shit.

*edit* I got tattooed by an emo kid (who I realized later was high on crack) nonetheless, I think that a prison tattoo would have been better quality. maybe he was crying too much to realize that he sucks balls.

edit one more time: I've drank way too much and don't really give a shit right now.

Thats more like it, thanks caplax. Someone got the idea. :bigthumb:

Union Underground

Yo...seriously guys.

August Burns Red. They tear down the house, throw it into a pile, crush the pile, light the pile on fire, and sprinkle the ashes all over the arctic ocean. Only to take the ice formed by the pile and turn it into a stew and feed it to the starving children of Chad, Africa. End.

Oh and nu-metal does suck.

Listen to the buzz ballads cd, its classic.

Ill never forgive them for doing there song "Counting The days"... it is a complete ripoff musically from metallica's King Nothing.

Punk/SCREAMO/Hardcore/Metalcore owns any other new shit... but I dig 90's music as well.

PS NU-METAL sucks
Screamo, hardcore and metal core are as brian posehn would say : "gay tarded"
It's a bunch of kids left over from the emo years trying to get rich. Thing about Nu-metal is it's basically the same thing except bands like System of a Down and Static-X. they seem to have shit under wraps even though they are both on hiatus.

Hmm new bands new bands... hmm... I Dig Velvet Revolver, Audioslave (little ot but chris cornell is supposed to release a solo album soon) The offspring as well are supposed to be releasing new stuff as well (i still don't know what to classify them under). I mainly spend my days listening to old school rock and some new power metal from bands such as Dragonforce. But w/e thats just my .02. remember, keep on rockin in the free world :D

CRYOSLASH...:umno:

:wtf:Haha, dude, you're thinkin of COLLECTIVE SOUL. I was really confused, googled "counting the days" and found collective soul's song. Smile empty soul is an entirely different band and never did a song called "Counting__(Anything)____" . not really the same genre. Check out SES, then get back to me. Trust me they haven't copied any songs. If they re-used a part of any Metallica song, I'd no longer be a fan.

Sorry, just needed to clarify that.

Metallica rocks though.

EDIT: Classic Rock is awesome too, gotta show some love to the roots of all the more modern stuff.
