They also added a clip of a cop pulling out on a guy who stole a bike and was trying to escape on it. but it still gets the point across.

Oh, and finishing watching the video.... The 'clip' that starts at 9:04, thats his own damn fault, period.

Which reminds me, Obey traffic laws too. No passing doesnt only apply to old people in Buicks.

i would have to disagree, yes he did try to pass on a double solide line but also the car didnt have its turn signals on, which would put the car at fault.

^ uhhh... no... had he obeyed the lines it never would have happened. People never use turn signals, which is why we are told not to pass 300' before an intersection.

wow that was brutal, all riders eventually get comfortable and get cocky, when you ride on the street you need to obey the law, play it safe, and pretend everyone else wants to kill you.

He crossed on a double yellow, but the other car turned without a signal, and had obviously already just seen the first bike pass him. They were both responsible, but it's obvious who paid for it.

^ No, he took a risk passing in the double yellow and he paid for it. patience will get you wherever you want to go in life, maybe not as quick.

Jesus, some of those were hard to watch. The last one with the speeding bike around the on-ramp getting trampled by the wagon.....

Holy shit...

All you bikers please play it safe. I consider myself an extremely alert and defensive driver for a 20 yr old, but I still find bikes sneaking up on me.

AND FOR CHRIST SAKES DON'T WEAVE OR WHITELINE THE HIGHWAY!!! Thats just plain stupid.

I agree, the fact that a motorcycle can manuever and react much quicker than a car should be used as a defense, not an offense.

Ya its a sad truth. But the same applies to cars. A performance sports car should be able to react(brake, swerve, maybe accelerate) to avoid more crashes than that run down geo metro but the sports cars are still more likely to be wrecked. :3d_frown:

The more "able" your mode of transportation, the harder you'll push it, am I right?

Goes to show you that the right safety gear can save your life. I have a ducati 749 as my street bike and a built gsxr600 for racing and I took my racebike off the end of portland raceway in the rain and didn't even get sore why? because I had full leathers and a back support. As a car racer I now how vonerable your neck is and am looking to develope a way to support that as well right now.
