My name is Tom and I am a very proud owner of a 1987 Supra!
After searching for months, i FINALLY found one that stood out from the rest. All stock, all original, unmolested, and a great platform to start a build on. This is not my first build nor will it be my last. If anyone is also a Subaru fan - i also have a ej205 swapped GC8 that is caged, bremboed and running 360chp at 21psi.
I wish i did a detailed build/post a lot of pics for my last project so i will try to keep this up to date as much as i can.
The Good Details:
1987
107k Miles
R154 Manual Trans
CT26 Turbo
Tanable Medalion Catback Exhaust
Samco Hoses
ARP Head Studs
New HG/WP/Timing Belt/Tensioner
New Clutch
Everything works!
The Bad Details:
Rear Diff Leak
Valve Cover Gasket Leak
Oil Pan Leak (I think)
PS Return Line Leak
Other Details:
Paint and Exterior are in excellent condition - couldnt be happier
Very Little to NO rust. Garage kept its entire life
Spare Tire Area is very clean
Have receipts for everything that was done!
Future Details:
Would like a mild/aggressive stance with 17" wheels, maybe 18"s
Still debating coil overs vs spring/strut set up
Pull Engine and fix all oil leaks
External oil cooler and fix all oiling "issues"
7m feels strong, probably will not do a JZ swap. GT40 or 6265 at the end result.
