Tires

I have a mostly stock '92 that I need some tires for. I was driving along a few days ago and one of my tires blew out. What fun.

I'm looking on tire rack and see anywhere from $400 - $900. As I said, I'm mostly stock, don't need anything special but good quality is appreciated and something I'm willing to pay for. Car's never driven in the colder months so that's not a concern...

recommendations or is this pretty much strictly personal opinion?

I use Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's because I cant afford RS3's
They are very performance oriented and wicked awesome
Highly recommended

I don't drive my '91 Turbo much at all, so I just bought a set of Kumho Ecsta AST's. I totally happy for what I paid for them, and they look pretty good on the car.

I used tires-easy.com for my Nitto drag radials. I called them on the phone and made sure they had them in stock ready to go before I ordered them. I believe I ordered them on a Tuesday, and they were at my door by that Friday. Do you homework on both of those companies before ordering. I did, and saw some negative reviews. That's why I called them and made sure they had them, and used a credit card that I could make a dispute and get refunded just in case it didn't go well. My experience went good though.

I have the RS3's. In the dry or hot I LOVE these tires, in the rain they're not bad as long as you drive with sense.

I can turn over the rs3's in first and sometimes second, my mods in sig.

I run Nitto NT05's in the not-snowing or really cold months, love them. Picked them up for $160ish each, and that was a 275/40/17 all around. For stock size, they're a bit cheaper:

Scratch that, they're not available in that size. However, the Dunlop Direzza Star Spec tires, that would be my next choice for that size. Good price, and hear nothing but good things about them.
