I know that the tire size on the sawblades are 225/50/16

I was wondering what is the biggest and wideest size tire you can put on these rims

Also i noticed that the rims say fr, fl and rr,lr something like that

are these rims diffectional are they different offset?

If i were to switch around the rims would it make a differnce in overall performance and funtionality.

The sawblades just point one direction or another. Wheels are all 16x7" +37 offset

People have fit 245's I think a few even squeezed 255's on it but that is the very limit. I wouldn't go wider than 245 personally.

I have some 245's Fuzion ZRi tires on my car... before i had some 245 dunlop sp5000 on and where at least an inch wider BUT had no side wall. Overall... the dunlop felt softer but both the tires grabbed just as good in a line but the fuzion fell a bit better in turns but not in rain. I would be able to gun it in first gear with 7.5psi with the dunlops and wouldn't loose a step when its poring outside.

Long story short the fuzion witch are bridgestone or firestone (i don't know) are 8.5 inch wide and the dunlops sp5000 are at least 9.5 inch wide both 245's (i used a ruler). But the Fuzion ZRi have a way way way stronger sidewall.

Short story shorter... Fuzion ZRi good responce and better feel, Dunlop better performence soft feel.

^ The width is the first number, I assume you mean the tire height or "profile", the profile doesn't matter it can be anywhere from whatever tire your getting as long as its not a truck tire.

I personally reccoment a 45 profile, but it would need to be lowered to look good so if your stock suspension, just go with 55 profile.

if you happen to get radials, when you get the tires mounted and balanced... be sure to tell the guys at the shop to put the tires on the correct wheels.... hahaha
last time i got a new set they mounted the two passenger side tires on the RR and FL and the others on the driver side
so now the sawblades are going in different directions... it looks pretty stupid
so learn from my mistake

I was thinking about those (eagle F1), but 800+ on tires when all i got is about 230+ hp at the wheel... no thanks LOL!

Im good with the ones i got that you can pick up for 100 bux a peace and work as good as the ones that are 180 (dunlop). I'm sure the Eagles are worth it tho.

width is measured sidewall to sidewall, also known as section width.

tires have different design sidewalls and one 245 might be wider than another 245. something with a square sidewall is going to have a wider tread width than something with a more round sidewall.

when shopping for tires usually you can compare tread width as well.

The sawblades are suppose to go in one direction only. Look at them closely, when driving at higher speeds, the grooves, or holes in the wheels are suppose to direct air onto the brakes to help cool them down me thinks (theory). This will not work as well if they are on bass ackwards.

I only paid 600.00 for my F1's at discount tire, I think they're cheaper now, when I asked them to match tirerack.coms price. For me the only thing between my ass and the road is tires I can go cheap or without everywhere else but on tires I buy the best period.
