Right now on the rear of my car I have 265/35/18's. They are imported Ducaro's that came on the rims when I got them imported.

The tires look funny on the rims. The sidewall is kinda too tall, and the tire is a hair too wide for the rim. I would say that... It looks like something someone would put on their 82 camaro. The tire buldges past the rim a hair and the sidewall looks real big for a 35 series.

I need new rear tires anyways, so... Anyone have an idea what I should order? I want a tire about 1in skinnier and the sidewall a hair smaller. I was thinking, maybe a 245/35/18? 245/40/18?


The main issue with my current rear tires is... My rear offset is +19, and the edge of the tires rub even after rolling and I had to raise the rear of my car up. So it really looks redneck. If i had a tire about 1in total skinnier (1/2in on each side), i could lower my car back down.

get new rear rims.. you're going to need more then a 245 with the 4088

I'd say 245/35.. the sidewall will be ~ 1/4 and inch smaller.. what sizes are the front.. might have to go smaller too.. ruberbands on the rear and thick sidewalls up front might look odd..

The front I already changed. The front were correct from Japan, actually stretched. I put something a little less JDM y0 on there.

My rims are 3 piece SSR's. All I need is a new inside bucket to make them wider, as with my offset they stick out towards the fender plenty. I could probably go 11in wide without problems. Right now its 8.5 or so.

y0 Rick, you're rubbing the rear due to wrong offset. even if you go 11 wide on the rear you still need to get correct offset. you can go up to 295 for the rear as long as the offset is around 40-45... I have 8" wide on 25mm offset with 245 and the side of the tire is right below the fender lines.

with your 8.5 wide I agreed with tiss.. 245/35 is perfect or even 255 will fit too on 8.5 wide.

The offset is fine, it's not a MKIII. The front is +11 with no rubbing at all. Theres more to a rim then just offset. I got the offset so the rim is about even with the body. I can widen the back of the rim with a different bucket. That doesn't change the offset, and makes the rim ALOT wider. I can easily go 11in wide with my offset, maybe even 12in wide.

There is nothing I hate more then rims that stick IN a car
