Greetings to all...

I'm putting in new exhaust manifold studs and was wondering what tips/tricks people had for getting the studs in all the way. Since there aren't allen keys at the top like my ARP head studs had, I'm wondering if there is any advice for floating around out there? Also, any tips for getting old, rusted ones out easily??? :1zhelp:

ones you are gonna toss out? vice grips. just make it hella fucking tight on there and turn them out. they should come out easy.

if you have a good set of tools you can use a stud remover, itll equally ruin the threads on the stud so if you dont have one, use the other.

a tap will do it just fine but there is a differance between a tap and a thread chaser. a tap will cut away the matirial in the way. whereas a thread chaser is like a tap with rounded cuting edge. instead of cutting away metal a chaser will push the thread back into place. just so you know. craftsman has a nice thread chaser set, my b-day is coming up.......just in case you guys were wondering what to get me. :icon_bigg
