timing

i just took the motor apart of my 7m and put new cams, head gasket and timing belt on.. how do i time it correctly so when i start it it runs smoothly and doesnt blow up? haha

What position was your crank and cam gears in when you put the timing belt on?

i have the cams both strait up.. and the little notch on the main pulley strait up.. correct or not?

make sure that the piston is at top dead center when the crank is at zero, put an extension or something in the spark plug hole to make sure.
