tried adjusting the cps unit, still nothing. I'm gettin no codes outside of 22 and I have limited access to a computer sometimes, and thinkin about it. I maybe a dumbass and the cps still maybe off.

But while i was at the car, i adjusted it from top to bottom and still no start. I looked through one of my books and it said to check the charcoal canster. Blew in the one side, no air came out, so my guess is replace that.

Took out #1 spark plug, there was oil on it. Wipped it off, and did the same to the 6th spark plug. Tried to start, Backfire... then nothin... it wasn't trying to catching or anything.

Replacing spark plugs when i get back over to the car, I'm still kinda lost and trying to figure out what else i need to check or do from here.

Any Ideas?

If the mechanical timing marks are lining up, the cps should be near perfect timing at or around the middle of the adjustment range. If your having to use the extent of its range, something is not lined up right. Put it in the middle and worry about the cps timing after you get it started. (ASSUMING its all lined up correctly)
Crank pulley can affect this as well.

its at tdc, I've made sure of that. I've stuck a socket down there and it starts at the beginning of the "0" mark and starts to leave tdc a lil before the end of the line. That make sense?

I'll double check the cps unit and timing on it tomorrow and see what i can come up with.
