i have blown out 2 felpro's behind water pump.

1 felpro had rtv on it.

Depends on the location. Would you put FIPG as a valve cover gasket? One area's like the water pump I use a Toyota gasket and a thin layer of ( Good Stuff ) made by permatex.

I would use toyota gaskets there, thats one place you do not want leaking! Required pulling the head/timing belt etc to change
