timing belt

ok so trying to install the timing belt and keep everything on mark but keep gettin off.
one side is real loose and the other side is tight what am i doin wrong. any help is a blessing

Line up all the marks
Install belt with the whole right side of the belt tight. All the slack should be near the tensioner.
Adjust the tensioner.

Crank by hand 1 revolution so all the marks are lined up again after the tensioner is tight and torqued and it shouldn't jump a tooth either.

Take no 1 sparkplug out and make sure you at tdc then Adjust the cams. Then it should be tight.

That is why apprentices get hourly instead of flat rate.

ac is not hooked up. foot not on the throttle. throttle position sensor is hook up wrong missed alot of hoses in that area. found out after coolant start leaking from a place that was connected to nothing.. guess thats what happends when you take something apart and wait to long to put it back together.. for get were things go.. but it turns over and idles now. thanks for code info. hope fully i will get a diagram for all the cooling hoses.. looks like im gonna have to take intake manifold off and get everything on that side set up correctly.
