I am trying to replace my timing belt. Problem is, I cant take off the crank bolt. I am already using 400 ft-lbs impact wrench. Anybody have ideas? THANKS

I believe the stock torque spec for the crank bolt is around 176ft-lb. That impact wrench should be more than enough. Are you sure you are turning it the right way?

A good idea i got from a writeup by grimjack

Use a breaker bar and turn the crank until the end of the bar touches the firewall. Give the starter a quick crank and it will bust lose.

Starter works every time. (I like going from the underside, breaker bar, pipe and leave it up against the frame rail.. then get away and click the starter over... and she's loose.)

Just keep fingers and faces you'd like to keep in good shape away from this contraption..
