Time to Rant and let off some "steam"?

ok so this is wats up, just wanna get something off my chest maybe you guys can shine some light on this. or maybe im just overracting cause i am a bit "not right" in the head.
im not against weed, people do it i dun care if u do it or not im not gonna put that against you. I really dont smoke, i MIGHT smoke with friends in a blue moon but not because i want the weed high, cause i would rather drink and call it a day, but rather because i want to be social and chill...anyways
so i was chillen with a couple of friends today(tonite) then they started inviting other people over and shit. I asked them not to smoke while we were hanging or to smoke afterwards cause i just didnt want that shit around me or on me. In theory, i was checking wat would be more important to my "Friends". Getting HIGH or just chillen wit me, maybe play some beer pong or watever, didnt really get a response out of that. So i go in the house for a little bit, i go back outside and 2 of my "friend"s are gone, i call em up and ask them wat they were doing, i knew right away they were gonna pick up some weed and pick up another friend who's def. a chronic smoker. Anyways so after they come back, we wait for others (they all smoke), another friend shows up and the first thing they do is jump in a "friend"s car and roll up, i stay on my porsh* and chill wit another "friend". im like Ok. So after the last 2of my "friends" show up, the others finnish up. we talk for a while and they decide to go chill at someone's house smoke and drink...So i just tell them "im calling it a night, i told you guys why" So i said Peace and went inside. basically. I mean i know it sounds like a bitch thing to do but it was a simple request and it seems everytime i hang with these so call friends they want to smoke up? oh i thought marijuana is not addictive? But yet they always seem to be craving the shit.
Is there anything wrong with my thought process here? I could be wrong but hey Fuck them. If my funds and my gas tank wasnt so low i'd drive the Supra around for a bit. Hehe, Remember fuck Friends, family is all you need.

but yea friends have changed, i have a friend that i considered to be my "best friend", knew him since middle school and were good friends through highschool, all of sudden we stopped hanging out and shit, he starts smoking and now he does it everyday..pretty much all he does. rarely chill wit him.

I don't know about Texas as I have never been there, But I am familiar with your scenario. I had friends like yours and probably even much worse, One day I had enough trying to get away and I just left them, my house, my girl, most of my stuff, my job and everything that was comfortable behind to start fresh somewhere else clean.. It probably saved my life. Funny thing is after 10-15 years they are still doing the exact same things now as they were then. You only get one chance here, Use it wisely..

reminds me of my best friends from high school, of whom i was also in a band with for over 5 years. all they do on the weekends is go out and drink. they always want me to go, and i told them i don't like to go out and drink, but that's all they ever want to do. i rarely hang out with them.

i hang out with my girlfriend. she doesn't pressure me to do anything, and she's mad cool. drinking is cool once in a while. not every weekend until last call two nights a week. fuck that shit.

i miss the way they used to be back in the day. oh well. life goes on.

I used to smoke weed on weekends then couple days a week until it became everyday after work. The weed was from a grower who was crossbreeding different strains and each hybrid was more potent than the last.It sent me loony and i had to go see a psychiatrist. Ended up with psychotic delusions and major depression also brought up a lot of repressed memories of the abuse i endured when i was a child growing up. I wanted to shoot people who talked shit and pissed me off. Generally a very angry person. Lost interest in everything around me and my supe. Anyhow i decided i had to stop using dope. Lost a lot of "friends" but they were just stoners, They would go from one high to the next basically. I see them still to this day on occasions and some are still the same and others have given up. 4yrs since i quit dope and ciggies and im still rebuilding my life. When I see young people who just spend all their time wasted off their tits I hope they can see the damage they are doing to themselves. Socially I dont have a problem with it, just when it becomes a habit/adiction then its too late.
