So I'm not totally lost anymore, could someone explain the 1JZ and 2JZ thing? Was the 1J made for MKIII's or did they come from a different vehicle. Is there an N/A model? 2J made for MKIV? Did they come in any USDM vehicles?

1jz-gte, 2.5 Liter Twin Turbo I6 came in 89+ MKIII Supras (hence why you need 89+ subframe or mounts to do the swap) in Japan only. The 1jz-gte also came in the Soarer and Chaser I believe, but only in Japan. There is no NA model of the 1jz that I am aware of.

2jz-gte, 3.0 Liter Twin Turbo I6 came in 93+ Toyota Supras in all countries. There is an NA model called the 2jz-ge, which came in NA Supras, Lexus GS300s, SC300s(later model Soarer in Japan I believe) and IS300s(Altezza in Japan).

I think I am right about most of it. If someone sees something thats wrong please chime in.

89+ mounts don't fit the pre89 subframe without modification.

to swap a 1J into a pre89 you need BIC Motor Mount Brackets. $175 and works with both 89+ motor mounts or pre89 motor mounts.

89 was a split year. if you hvae the rectangular mounts then you need bic brackets, the round ones will drop right in.

EXCEPT...Your sig is 640 x 480 pixels.

It needs to be 650 x 225 pixels or smaller.

Thank You!! With all the signatures and pictures it takes more time than it's worth. I'm at work today and have been fortunate enough to have some high speed computer time so yes I've been searching.
