Thrust washers! Need Help!!

Well discovered my 1jz has crank walk, so i got everything tore down to put new washers in crank. . my question is where do these damn things go?? Does anyone have any pics or a writeup on replacing these thrust washers?? any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Look at the 2JZ TRSM... Tells you how to install them in the proper orientation...

Depends if there is damage to the block or crank.

There also is a spec for the gap between crank and thrust washer.

I believe I set them in place, using some assembly lube, as I set the crank onto the main bearings... block turned upside down... Basically, the crank's top bearings and thrust washers in place, as the crank is carefully lowered onto them. Helps to have someone else help... especially to keep the thrust washers from falling out of place.

Once that's done, put the other half of the set on, as you fasten the caps.

Yes, but I was replacing rod/main bearings too. I'm not sure if you can install the thrust washers without lifting the crank, but I haven't tried that before.
