Hey guys, I'm going to be building a front facing manifold for my 7MGTE and want to go with a 80 mm Throttle Body. I heard of people using the Infinity Q45 Throttle Body but is there any others? Has any one tried using a BBK 80 mm Throttle Body for 97-04 LS1/LS6 C5 Corvette? I'm not to worried about wiring cause I'm going to be running standalone. Any Input would be great.
:naughty:

Pat: You said the magic word "Standalone" you just need to pick a TB that has a TPS that will talk to it and you're good to go!

the biggest i could find for the mustang aside from bbk/accufab was the 75mm. i wanted a ford tbody since their voltages will work w/ our ecu. 75mm was a good match anyway since i will be running 75mm ic piping.

I come from a land down under
Mines 65mm ID matched to my IC Piping and nope no lag at all and is running comfortably 18 psi to 7700 rpm.... Unless you're shooting for really big HP I don't believe a huge TB is needed.

do you count 4 digit hp really big? :evil2:

i just wanted everything to match up. i go more for mid and high end than low end. low end w/ a high stall converter just doesnt exsist anyway.

huh?? :wtf:

you didn't look hard enough

the biggest Throttle body that exist for the 87-93 Mustang 5.0.

At a whopping 105mm ID/4.25 inch OD. Accufab makes one and so does Wilson Manifolds ;) Wilson Manifolds is far superior.

even at 4 digits.

the 90mm TB from Wilson can flow upwards off 1100 CFM!!

re-read my post. aside from accufab. i was speaking of the sizing available of the BOI tbody.
