I guess staying with a 7M would be a mistake........if you have no clue what you're doing.

So how much does a 2JZ swap cost now a days?
Just wondering since my fully built 7M(forged rods and pistons) with a built head(oversize valves, springs/retainers/porting/polishing/5 angle valve job/264 cams) cost me $4900 total. Should be able to handle 1000hp and rev to at least 8000rpm.

Just wondering..

You bu ya 2jz GE for 250, get forged internals for another 2000, get a full head job and your right around 4500. sell your 7m and crap that comes with it, keep the wiring and misc items. 4900 is easily achievable for a high hp capable 2jz. but lets not make it into one of those threads.

Or just get a UZ or UR series for dirt cheap and make that power NA! :biglaugh:

You are already making this in to a debate :nono: For the same money, you could have a nicely built 7M that would stay right with the 2J.

Duane, Pm me your number, in which way is the 7m better then the 2jz, i want to hear your reasoning.

I could go in to details about why each one is good for it's own reason but I won't.

Read before you mouth off and making assumptions.

Man oh man. The 3rd thread I click in the 7m section and the debate already rages.

Sorry about the rod. Do what you think is best, based on your wants, your research, and your budget.

That would be cool!
A webcam built in to the build thread!

Then we can give you tons of crap for not working on it often enough ;)

Good luck!
