I acknowledged I was wrong just not directly …. Nick gave him the technically correct answer to his question. My response was incorrect but when you look at most real drag cars they are autos b/c why? The shift points are more precise and quicker meaning they don’t loose a 10th of second due to shifting so they let off of the load and get back on quicker meaning they build boost quicker than the manual trannys for the most part that was my logic. But that was not the question :)

Keep something else in mind...load on an Auto may not be as great initally, but you can build boost with your foot on the brake up to TC stall. Also, boost does not fall off during shifts...it continues to build...no BOV pssssttt sound like you hear on a manual shift.
