I was showing a friend this site and how to get great info on lubrication and filtration. He asked me if I would post this question, can you use Castrol Euro 0-30 in a diesel. We couldnt realy find any good answers at the diesel sites, so I came here for some expert input.
Thanks in advance.

Castrol Euro 0W-30 is not really suited for a diesel - it will work, but other oils specifically formulated for a diesel are far better. I use Shell Rotella 15W-40 (conventional) in my powerstroke and change it every 5000 miles. Rotella also comes in a 5W-40 synthetic (Grp III) version. Chevron Delo is another great choice - it too comes in a 5W-40 synthetic (Grp III) version.

15w-40 Rotella is some awesome stuff, been running it in my 1j and it doesn't burn off at all. :)
