My temp gauge no worky. So I figured look at aftermarket, theres cheap ones at Autozone, $30 for an electric one. The one I have stock on my car is electric. This gauge came with a sensor in it, do I have to make a hole in my block to install this thing or something? I looked at my temp switch which sends it to my normal gauge, it LOOKS like the same size, maybe I can put it there.

Im asking if anyones done one of these and has any info for me on how I do this...

good luck with that, im not sure too many people have done it successsfully. i know some tried experimenting with shaping lexan to get the same angle on the gauges, but ended up cutting holes and flush mounting them with the clear plastic. doesn't look bad IMO but they had also fabbed an aluminum plate to take the place of the plastic.

edit^sorry bout that, i didnt realize you were talking about the sensor

as for the mounting of the sensor, you'll probably be able to mount in the same spot. the faze gauge i bought (havent installed yet, i bought a crappy one just to experiment with fiberglass) came with a few adapters to mount the sensor. im planning on mounting it on the opposite side of the radiator hose, looks like a big allen screw plug in there (reason being i still want my stock gauge to work, in addition to my aftermarket)

Do you know whether it's the guage or the sensor? Before replacing the stock sensor I'd made sure ECU doesn't pull any reading from it.

well, I got one, $18 at autozone, sunco. Water temp gauge, goes up to 250*F.

Sensor mount had 3 adapters, universale, they go where the temp switch is for your normal gauge. Was a bitch to get it in there but I did, small fit. Then I ran the cable and mounted the gauge, its a little ghetto lookin but ill fit it all later, it works great!!

The temp gauge was movin up and up and up... then it hit 210*.... whoosh went back down, I LOVE IT, I FIXED ALL THE PROBLEMS!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, its awesome.

yeah, no $18 guage goes in the supie!

I mounted it to the bottom left, its got a big ol ugly mechanical wire Im trying to figure out what to do with, this car was impossible to run it through the firewall properly. I really dont car, its not distractingly ugly and works, thats all I wanted.
