This Sucks!!! (rod-knock)

Ok I'm very upset bout this but my car sounds like it has a rod knock or something sim to it. Now I need to find out how much and where I can get one for a good price. I think this problem was caused by low oil (damn neer none) and the car was over heating. (IDK) but anyway if any of you know of a place where I can get the rod for good price let me know and put how much u think it will cost for the rod. And I need a new radiator too so post some pics of your radiator and what brand and how much it cost (or if u know of some good radiators then post that too) I have low funds so dont post any super raced up things plz (they come latter on lol. :biglaugh:

P.S when I crank the car thats when u here it and when I use to drive u here it a lil to but friend told me it could be a valve.

hit up ebay for some rods. might be able to find a nice rod+piston combo. hit up the vendors for a nice radiator.

get the clevite bearings. our bearings seem to suck. clevite are the best you can get. just my 2 cents

yah mee too when i first crank the car in the morning especially, you can here it knock before the motor starts to idle.

Thanks guys for all your post. I really dont want to spen the :nono: money into them cause there is so much stuff wrong with my car and idk if it would be worth it to fix those probs or just get a new motor like the 1j, or the v8 1uz(sc400)and just wire everthing up cause I can get the 1uz for 500 bucks and I was told that it can just fit onto my tranny no prob. Hmmm this is a tuff call what shoulld I do? I mean yeah its good to have the supra stay as the classic 6 either the 1j 2j or 7m but v8 power... and plus the new supra :naughty: is comin with a v8 why not start ahead LOL :1zhelp: let me here your comments on what I should do...

I'm sorry if this offends.... but I wouldn't think you should go the route of engine swap if you have trouble keeping oil in your car on a motor that is known to be very prone to starvation problems. Again, no real flame intended, but I do think you should step back and think about whether that is a project you really want to take on..... as an engine swap, even to another 7M, isn't just "wiring it up"

very tru and no offense taken just asking what I should do and to tell the truth I dont know alot or really anything about swaping motor or even fixing mine. mostly my friend helps me (does all the work) but I help with what ever I can do . And the oil thing was that I think there was a leak because I do keep oil in the car. But cant say that now cuz car is done for right now. But all I can do is think what I'm gonna do for now. Try to get another car or keep mine and fix all the probs (my friend lol) idk but I did get attached to the car alot so..hmm thanks for the comment. :biglaugh:

Oh another thing there is a lady in my neighborhood that has an n/a mk3 thats been siting there for almost a year now. And she is friends with my mom maby i can get her car and take the :evil2: motor LOL shoot I could use her interior too LMAO

i really dont know what year it is but its a hard-top, n/a, auto and looks like crap white paint like mine lol thats all I know...
