for me what defines a ricer is a car with a fartcan, and a bunch of stickers.
one or two stickers is fine, but not a bunch.

And here's the point.... to some 1 or 2 stickers is Rice... to others by definition ANYONE that owns a Jap car is a ricer, I have to laugh at the sad individuals here that just don't seem to get it... :nono:

Expand your minds some and stop pointing and laughing at anyone/thing that's different to you.

I used to rip on all the kids that drove Japanese cars around here cause their parents would just throw down 15g to import them a car. I drove a turbo Daytona at the time I bought with my money for 1g and I was keeping up to them. Then it got stolen and had a couple more cars then I realized that Japanese auto makers are the only ones who offer what I want, turbo, 5 speed, rear wheel drive, late 80s/early90s. Then exactly a year later I bought the Supra and I have grown up a lot and now know its just a lack of knowledge and distasteful cosmetic mods. Now I just laugh at the people that know jack all about cars and talk like they're master mechanic, and also people who drive retardedly. Here is a picture that is the most rice thing i did to my car,

I didn't have the proper boost gauge for mounting up in the car when I installed my MBC so I just ran this temporarily. All the "ricers" are the ones who think it's a tach and don't know what I'm talking about when I say it's a boost gauge

Deductive reasoning leads to the conclusion that my car is a ricer.

HAHA, rodel, wow. if your car is considered rice i must be the biggest wanna be ricer than. haha Rodel's car is SO FAR from rice. i feel rice could also be something that doesnt compliment the car. it really does depend on the situation.

FOR EXAMPLE:
a body kit can look great on a supra but it can also look like BARF. and you can apply this with many parts.

hrrmm... I think one or two stickers is fine... like if you had work done by a prestigious shop.... by all means slap on that shop sticker, case in point Heffner's Performance

This thread is full of Lulz. I hate those stupid green N badges that they have been using. I was told they mentioned new driver badge or something like that. Someone shed light on this trend

I still wouldn't mind the "elderly" sticker there... you don't see those. Or "STUDENT DRIVER" on my car somewhere. :p

Anyone who puts anything on their car for either incorrect reasons, or just for the sake of it looking like something that's useful on some other type of car. Also, modifying a car that truly has no performance potential just because it's what they happen to have in their garage could also make a person a ricer.

examples....

A ricer would put a $20 ebay muffler on their chevy cavalier and insist it added 15-20hp.
A non-ricer might add the same muffler and admit that it just made the car louder, or maybe added 1 or 2 hp.

A ricer would buy a "turbonator" or an electric boat bilge fan to put in their intake to add power.
A non-ricer would laugh at that and save his money for a part that isn't advertised in an infomercial (or sold at a marina).

A ricer would buy a $15 bottle of octane booster and tell everyone it gave him the same thing as 115 octane race gas.
A non-ricer would buy a meth injection kit for his car or convert it to run on E85.

A ricer would put steel wheels on his drive wheels with tall sidewall all season tires to use on the drag strip, and drive the car like this all the time to look cool.
A non-ricer would put steel wheels on his drive wheels with drag slicks to use on the drag strip, and take them off before he drives home.

A ricer would spend $4000 on a turbo kit for his car that adds 50hp, and then put 500 pounds of 20" chrome wheels, neon lights, LED exhaust tips, subwoofers, and fish tanks in the car that completely negate any performance gained by the turbo.
A non-ricer would build his turbo kit himself after researching for months and buy forged wheels and a lightweight flywheel to make up for the 40 pounds he added by putting a 12" sub in the trunk (and take the sub out at the track).

LOL this thread is great. In my province they give out these big learner driver signs and I scored one. Somedays I just throw it up so all those "ricers" (mainly overdone civic owners) think I'm just some kid who can't drive and then I blow the doors off them LOL
