The only time they were in the wrong, is when the one kid ran from the cop (Seen in the video), which I would have done too, but would have succeeded [BUT THIS HAPPENED AFTER THE ASSAULT AND BATTERY]
i would go to jail to beat the fuck out of a cop like that. i'm a nonviolent person, but that just crosses the line.

Skateboarding is not a crime. It is the grinding and waxing that is considered "a crime" since it is "destruction of property". That cop had no right to chokehold any of them, especially the girl. I wouldn't be surprised if the cop got suspended and had an investigation opened against him for use of excessive force. The kid that ran is a moron. If the cop says stay, and you don't, then the cop has every right to tackle you for running from him. I wonder what the cops report said after that whole ordeal.
This is one of the biggest reasons I want to become a trooper. Just so when I see a cop doing his job wrong, I can tell him to get lost. Cops on power-trips piss me off more than anything else in the world. Yes, if there is an ordinance that says no skateboarding, then I would just tell them to move. No need for force or arrests.

I was pulled over by asshole cops a lot of times on my supra, but most of the time thier cool guys. I work beside many cops and know a lot of them are down to earth nice people just doing a job.
One time when I was around 17 , I didn't own my supra then, but I lent my dads buick to buy a stereo at a local kmart. I had to pass these forested area and I came to a stop sign and so I stopped, looked both ways and then took a left but then came a cop car lights flashing without sirens almost sidewinded me.
The cop then blew his siren and pulled me over. It was the first time i got pulled over I was shitless, so when he came to the window he started yelling WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU DOING?! I replied I'm sorry there was a lot of trees I didn't see your lights and your sirens were off. He then shouted WHATS THAT IN THE BACK OF THE CAR?! I told him I just bought that stereo and Im taking it home. He yelled again IS THIS YOUR CAR?! I told him no but but before I get to tell him "its my dads" he yells WHO'S CAR IS THIS?! I almost broke down like it's my dads.
So he yells GIVE ME YOUR LICENSE AND REGISTRATION! So I gave it to him and he looked at my license and hes like, IS THIS A CLEAN LICENSE?! I'm like yea sir, he shouts back ARE YOUR SURE?! I'M like positive. He then dares me, IF I GO BACK AND RUN THIS LICENSE ITLL COME CLEAN?! I told him yes officer, knock yourself out. (which I probably shouldn't of done but I was trying to be a little friendly to stop the tense mood and all this one way shouting at me)
He then shouted "Knock myself out?!" he then leaned into the window and yelled in my face "HOW BOUT I KNOCK YOU THE FUCK OUT?!" I just stood quiet. He then threw the license at my face and told me to get the fuck out of his face and go home.
The second time, there was an undercover cop driving REALLY slow, and this was when I was older and had my first black 89 supra. He was driving TOOOO slow, like snail, I guess a patrol. It was a two way street so I drove on the other side of the road and drove past him since he was going so slow. I then passed him and took a left and AS SOON as I took that left, he put his lights on but I didn't see it, I thought I seen something but didn't mind it, then I seen in my mirror that the car turned the corner with lights and flew to me and parked his car in front of mine to cut me off. He almost kicked his car door open and put his gun towards me and yelled to get out the car with my hands up. I did and he came to me, pulled me out my car and slammed me against my quater panel and began to search me. He asked why was I fleeing, if I had drugs, guns etc etc. I told him he was driving slow and I just switched to the opposite lane to drive past him and I didn't see the lights until AFTER he turned the block that I was on. I had a friend in the car that when after the ordeal was over, he was laughing at how hard the cop was slamming me on my car cuz the supra kept jumping up and down every time he slammed searched, turned me around, slammed searched, turned me around slammed and questioned me.
The cop could of been better about it instead of manhandling me and yelling at me at the top of his lungs and keeping that gun out at me.
The third was I was doing a security detail at a building and everyone and I mean EVERYONE has to go through a security screening before entering and I stopped a cop, he then asked me what the fuck was I doing. I said sir everyone has to go through the screening, rules of the building no exceptions. He then pointed at my face, if you ever stop me again , I'm breaking your face and pushed me aside. I reported the incident. Did anything ever happen? No.
But for every asshole cop I been lucky to deal with like 5 other nice ones. I give them credit on what they do, being a new york cop isn't easy, theres so many assholes here that would give a cop lip and would slice his throat while hes being nice just to get away from a speeding ticket. But I agree a lot of them need to change thier attitudes and seriously cut back on the power trip. That's why the fire dept gets so much love, they talk to people on what they cant do and people just listen. If not they get a cop to come, summons you or arrest you. Simple.
One thign I notice, even across states, the way for a power trippin' cop to yell remains identical. I wonder if they have a private club "how to powertrip and look kewl while doing it" Assholes.
