Bugs are the ideal car for drag racing. They don't weigh much, the engine is over the rear wheels so all the weight is in the back, and they can make plenty of power.

My brother used to have a bug with 3 man hole covers under the "hood" to keep the front end down. 2260 with dual webbers and a gutted bug makes one fast import rocket. Thats real GDM right thar!

A friend's got a Super Beetle and says with 250hp he would be in the low 12's because of how light they are. Too bad theyre volkswagons.

Its not a MK3 and bugs are bad ass!!! I am doing a 68 beetle right now for/with my brother N Law and they are so basic they are fun. Who knows mabey someday I might buy one???
