i'm looking for oil pressure and water temp gauges. i found this on ebay. i was thinking of selling the air/fuel gauge that comes in the pack to someone in my school. anyone know if these gauges are any good and accurate? i kind of like them because they match the rest of my dash illumination wise.:icon_bigg i plan to stick em in the ash tray spot and then do some fiberglassin', but anyways..whatcha think?

Erm... I think not. I also think not Autometer either, if you're going to spend money on instrumentation you might as well get it right the 1st time with something known to be accurate and high quality.

autometer's rock... they have expensive nice guages and they have cheaper ricer guages...... just buy the right ones. I bought boost and a/f gauges from that company A Long time ago, the boost gauge was accurate but the lights went out and they essentially became useless after about 2 months. save up some money and buy nice guages. :)

yea i looked into those before, those are very low quality stuff. if you want something cheap and sweet, get prosport gauges. thats the route i took.

I had prosport gauges (boost and oil pressure) on my old GSX and loved them. The "opening ceremony" thing is cool, but I am easily amused. I just hate electric oil pressure sending units, it's just chop chop chop on the prosport one, no smooth increase. Haha it was a 4G63 though, you never know...

I'm not saying I wasn't satisfied, it did it's job I just wasn't used to it. I had a mech. oil gauge on my Z28 and loved how it rose gradually. You simply hook it up to the oil pressure sending unit on the pass. side of the block. Kind of hard to get to unless you remove the accordian tube. It's towards the front, little gold sensor. A wire slips onto it and IIRC it's the green wire on the prosport oil psi gauge. In the first pic its just to the left of the person's hand.
