Re: easy answer

Not sure if you intended this for the MK1/2 section, but since it's here and I'm not sure, here's everything for North America and some for Japanese models:

1979-1981 4M-E, 5M-E: 82°C (180°F) for USA, 88°C (190°F) for Canada and USA Cold-Spec
1982-1992 5M-GE, 7M-GE, 7M-GTE: 88°C (190°F)
1993-1998 2JZ-GE, 2JZ-GTE: 82°C (180°F)

Japan-Spec:
7M-GTE, 1JZ-GTE, 2JZ-GE, 2JZ-GTE: 82°C (180°F)

Re: easy answer

Yeah Jeff, thanks pal I posted in the wrong section, this was mean't to be in the MKIII section. Yep your right, I was asking about the 7 M GTE stock thermostat. Appreciate it,Thanks again for your help!!

Oh BTW: which way does the little valve go,(sorry I don't remember the name, tiny little valve near the edge of thermostat) .. is it up or down in the water housing?

Allows any trapped air in the system to pass through the thermostat area.
Then move to an area where it can bleed out of the system in time (Radiator Cap, overflow tank)
