Sorry, I meant old pump and injectors.

You shouldn't pull more than 20% on an s-afc because the ecu starts advancing the timing like CRAZY; hence the crazy high EGT's.

You either need a bigger turbo(ie; more air) or smaller injector's(ie; less fuel) unless you have an afpr in which case turn that shit waayyyyy down.

If I see higher than 840 EGT's I back out fast.

Agreed, its bec. of my 680CC injectors mismatched to my HKS 60-1 Sport. I'm getting a PT61 which should balance A/F's out. I'm curious if isnms had an EGT gauge in his car.

Cha-Ching! ;)

I just realized how old this thread was...
Blk91 - Good for you! Finding a thread this old, that means you were probably searching! :)

Yeah i was actaully looking at the Rebic LC as a stop gap for me right now, I have a Map ecu and im not totally sure i understand how to tune it, And I have a Greddy turbo kit on my car with a waste gate set for 12-14psi so I hit fuel cut almost instantly. The rebic seemed like a way better idea than a FCD

suprashy - psi and a/f is in my first post. Unfortunately I did not have an egt, at the time. I do now :).
My turbo is a 50trim ct26 and the fuel system is stock. You can view my vBPicGallery for setup.
I now have a new, reman, jarco engine with hks mls. Things are going well with this one, so far.

Sorry, I didn't notice the original date of this thread! Thanks for the reply. Did you ever conclude what happened? If your "old" pump and injectors did not perform as they should have, would you not have seen lean A/F's? (if u can remember). I'm puzzled as to why you detonated. U had good A/F's, & u were adding fuel, so why u detonated is puzzling me, and I would like to hear about your findings please. Thanks!

I'm glad to hear things are going well with your new engine. R U running stock fuel on your upgraded turbo? Have u increased boost from 11.5? What EGT's are u seeing under boost, and do u log EGT's? I was reading on the Innovate website to log EGT's one needs a thermocouple amplifier I think it was.

No problem on the date.
If anyone comes up with a good reason why, I'd listen. I never concluded why it happened. One thing that was relayed to me, after Jarco received my old motor as core return, was that the pistons, the shop that rebuilt my original engine used, were for a non-turbo :aigo: Many things about that rebuild I would love to forget. Should have gone this rout in the first place.

I use my Zeitronix ZT-2 to log EGT & A/F. I'm still on stock fuel. Only boosting ~9psi. S-AFR tuned for mid-low 11 a/f.
