So I know this is stickied but I need some Advice on An issue Im having With my TDS (Theft Deterent System). I recently got my Project Supra Back on the road, tagged, and insured only to start having battery Issues (Old Battery) and my Alarm would go off on my driver's side door Whenever i tried unlocking the car. Occasionally It would also happen on the passenger side. But now the starter kill is on and Im not sure what i should do? And, If I removed the tds (like on the write up) while it is still in theft mode will it have any affect?

2ndly Are the door sensors easy to replace? Pricey? Advice?

Unlock it from the trunk.

I don't know what the switches cost new. They mount to the back of each lock cylinder.

Well, I think it may be PN: 84903-14031 for the driver side and 84903-14021 for the passenger side. Champion Toyota shows them with a MSRP of $41.73 and $34.90, respectively. They sell them for $31.71 and $26.50. Call your dealership or Champion to verify that those are the correct part numbers before ordering.

Not sure if some of the newer ones may be usable on the older cars. The lock cylinders changed a couple times as the key types changed, etc. We never had these sensors in Canada, so I'm not all that familiar with them.

Mine did that shit to me when I tried unlocking my door from the pass side and I just lock the car back up and unlocked it from the driver side. but like jeff said try unlocking it from the trunk and then go about getting new sensors, or go to a junk yard and get a set Im sure they are cheaper.

Mine has same issue, i have to unlock from the passenger side or else no start. I think im going to rewire the switch to either another location or remove the TDS completely.
