Okay so idk if this should be in this section or 7M-GTE tech section but here it goes.

I swapped an N/A 7m in my 1988 red supra just to get it running so i can sell it because i have another silver supra and i need money to rebuild the GTE
Anyway i put the motor in everything was fine and i got it started and it ran. I turned it off cause it didn't have much gas in it and i go back several days later and it won't crank. The starter just clicks and the whole car loses power when i try to start the car. When you take the negative terminal off of the battery and reconnect it the car gets power again, but it does the same thing every time your turn the key. Is it my theft deterent system doing this? and would taking out the TDS computer stop this from happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated

That just sounds sounds like a bad battery. Hook it up after checking the connections at the terminals of course, then turn on headlights, vent fan full speed, the radio, interior lights, and see if everything dims pretty bad. Or just take the battery to a local parts store and have them test it.
My battery did the same thing like two weeks ago. I would start the car, drive it a couple places and come back. It'd start the next day fine too. But ifI waited more than two days between starts I'd have to charge it cause all it would do is click. Had it tested and the battery was just bad. Wouldn't hold a charge for long.
