ever been to another country where you dont know the language and youd rather be back home because thats where all your family is and every thing you have ever known is there, but its hard to get work in your country and you want to give your kids the chance to get a good education and live in a nice house or apartment so they can have more than you did? so mostly out of love for your kids you give up everything you have ever known, get treated like shit in another country because you dont speak the language, all because you want to give your children opportunities that you never had... were those the immigrants you were talking about? :icon_conf

not this kid. he was blatently rude, would not cooperate was 24 had an attitude and had to have dad and brother come translate and do all the work for him.

The officer was even getting annoyed with him.

i mean obviously i can understand if someone hit me and was like sorry but didnt speak english thats a different story. But when you hit someone and act like a total "ass" and are rude thats a whole different story.

edit:
no i have never been to another country in that scenario but i can imagine how it feels, but that doesnt change the fact that of whether i would attempt to appologize i would still ask if the other person was ok, attempt to ask how bad the damage was, or ask how hes doing, if he needs help etc. I wouldnt just sit in my car on my cell phone ignoring the guy completely, and not getting out until the police show up..

My car got hit to when it was sitting still... right in front of my house. It was on the street and I dont honestly know what happened but The guy who hit it stopped and actually came to my door and told me. He was one nice old guy, but im not sure who he hit my car... maybe he stopped behind it while a car passed and didnt pull around all the way, but he gave us his information. I mustve felt really bad for his driving error. I was surprised. Not much really happened to his f-150.

The very next day, he called the insurence company (same as mine) and said he hit my car. I had a local body shop quote the damage and they said it would be about $1100. I took it to the insurence place and had them see how much it would be and they said $1500 because theyd have to repaint the whole back, where the other place wasnt going to.
So i picked up the check and im gonna have my friend fix it.
Eventually Im going to have him repaint the whole car.

Thats really cool, thanks for the info! So the insurance company did indeed write you a check for $1500 to use where you want? Thats awesome and i hope mine does that.

I have a buddy that will paint my car in a booth and fix all dents etc for $1000 and i already have all the new body pieces off one of my parts cars. I hope they issue me a check

Yeah, they should. Ask them and sometimes they have a place youll have to take it and get it looked at.

Hope all goes well. Just hope they dont deem it totaled. :aigo: Its a slimmer chance since you got a 91.

That sucks man, but the damage looks minimal enough. Probably a good thing your lights were up.

ND, i agree with you, If you were in that situation I bet your ass would know the language and not expect everyoen to bend over backwards for you. But maybe I'm wrong.
