I for one think people should take religion a bit more serious.... Sure, it may end up being a huge scam... but if it's not.... you're pretty much fucked, whereas someone like myself, doesn't have to worry about whats going to happen when I die. I mean, you don't even have to do it because you fear what may happen when you die, shoot, if everyone lived like they were "supposed" to, this world wouldn't be such a bad place to live.

I would like to see some point/counterpoint going on about religion. I hear it was all fabricated by the romans, or something like that, to keep the people under control, or something...... This is really the only thing that I have heard, and it does make sense, telling them that if they're assholes here, life for them is going to suck for a lot longer than it did here.

But seriously, just coming in and saying it's BS is pretty lame..... atleast express some reasons WHY, people such as myself can't really grasp the whole concept of there not being a God, or it being BS at the very least. And before it gets brought up, my parents do not attend church, my grandparents do not attend church, my brother doesn't attend church.... my sister and I are really the only two in my family, as far as I know, that attend church, so it wasn't in my upbringing or anything like that.

Also, Do you pray for your loved ones? When you have a really bad day, who do you tell about it? Do they really listen? Will they forgive you no matter what you do? Anyway, I'm not gonna preach, I just wanna know how people think. It doesn't make sense to me. :icon_conf

im not sure i'm the most religious person in the world...in fact i'm damn sure i'm not.

But i must say there has to be some pyth to these possesions etc...

there is too much energy in this world for a life to simply end...that spark, that whisper, that glimmer of light in someones eye...there soul if you will..it must go somewhere...and im sure they don't all go to the same place.

btw.. ideal/topsecret... this can be an interested thread...how about you both move on and let it head that way... religion/afterlife/possesion is an interesting read even for non-beleivers....

I heard the recording and it is very real. Number one I am wiccan and yes vampires, demons, goblins, and whatever do exist but on another plain and I have been there it is called astral projecting. I t is where you come out of your body but still know your alive and feels like you are floating. Also the recordings were after the exorcist came out and this happened well I hate to tell the germans I told them so cause that movie is what brought the demons. Demons are alwys looking for a way to come out and be on our plain or realm as you may call it. Usuallly the demon is trying to become very real and living and take over the persons soul which it posseses.

i wanted to be a witch a few years ago :D... a good one. also a friend of mine. so we bought a book about it but never did the rite that actually was supposed to make us witches. :) oh well.
anyway, since that i did alot of reading about symbols and stuff and its really interesting. first of all the pentagram. most people think its evil, a sign of satan but basically its there to protect you from evil spirits... well the upright pentagram is. the inverted pentagram tho is used by satanic cults.
same with the swastika. now its a symbol for the nazis, the second world war etc but it was and is an ancient symbol for luck. it was used to represent life, sun, power, strength, and good luck.
so yeah, my 2cents about wiccans and stuff :)

did you figure out what she or it said at the end of this recording? i really would like to know. i also spent basically all day yesterday looking for those tape recordings from anneliese michels exorcism but couldnt find anything. this russian exorcism seems to be the only recording online. there was also a video... here it is:

I dunno about this "other plain" stuff..... is there anyway to describe it to us who don't believe such a thing?

Is it basically this earth but..... just...... different, like we don't see them, they can't see us kind of thing? Or one of these there are infinite earth's out there, all of which play out differently than each other, which basically means every descision you ever made you made different in another world.... I don't get any of all of that (this was some scientific thing, IIRC). Anyway, I'm curious now.

Lanky, yo-errr... we are already in heaven... mkII's are pretty much it. :icon_bigg

Constantine is by no means a horror movie. I've seen it twice, but I have seen most movies twice. It makes you think and it does focus on the multiplane theory. Basically, heaven, us and hell are all in the same place. AKA, when you see a riced out civic, the same civic is in heaven and in hell in the same place. However, in heaven the owner may be dead and in hell the owner got a new sponsor. The main part of the theory is that generally we cannot switch over to any of the other planes until we die.

^^ I gotta get some of the stuff you're smokin.

I think people can convince themselves of anything. Religious people have that stuff pounded into their heads their whole lives, so they accept it without question. I used to be a devout christian. Went to church 3 times a week, had bible study on thursdays, blah blah blah. But fortunately i started to ask myself "Can ANY of this bible stuff be proven WITHOUT using the bible as a source?" and the answer is no. The only proof any religion (ex. chrisianity) can offer is the "holy writings" of that religion (ex. the bible). And of course some of you are going to say "oh yes it can, i FEEL it in my heart, I know jesus watches over me." and that is just ignorant. I think faith is a horribly dangerous idea. Once you gain someone's "faith" you can tell them anything and they will accept it whole-heartedly. Look at David Koresh, Jim Jones, Charles Manson, and all the other cult leaders. These guys were brilliant. They realized that all they had to do was convince these feeble minded people that they had some great prize to offer (ever lasting life in heaven, or whatever) and they had puppets that would do ANYTHING they said.

thanks for explaining your point, not alot people do that.
but i personally find your first comment 'I gotta get some of the stuff you're smokin" pretty damn ignorant. is it so hard for you to accept someone else's opinion, believe etc? not everyone is a pothead... like me.

i sure as hell am not religious in any way but i do believe in some sort of spirits... good and bad. i dunno, honestly i dunno about that possession exorcism thing... i did lots of reading and its funny cos:
you read the scientific explanation and its like "hmmm, sounds like this can be possible"... then you read a religious point of view and its like "hmmm, sounds like it can be possible too"... if you're a lil open minded of course.

lol, it is in fact amazing just what religion has been used for. Originally religion was created by humans as a means for understanding that which seemed impossible. The only reason it thrives now is because people still have fears. It's never been about having your prayers answered. It's all about having someone there to listen to your fears and assure you that everything will be ok because God is on your side.

why is that ignorant? it was a joke...mostly. If thats what he believes, power to him. and believe you me, i heart my bong. but my basic point was that none of the stuff he said can be proven. Yay for him if he wants to believe all that, but he can't state all that stuff as fact and expect anyone else to accept it. he would have to be smokin more than the ganja if he expects anyone to believe that stuff based on his post.
