Not assemblers, Im doing that, but I bought it NEW from northern tools, the $200 one with leveler. It was $149.

Anyways, the 2 back strut support bars, are SHORT! They dont line up and its pretty much impossible unless THEY are wrong. Now I have to drill holes into my new toy

On top of it the instructions sucked, Im pretty much using all the bolts where they seem to fit right, I havent come up short yet.

lol im sure its right...you should prob look at flipping them around and maybe switching sides etc...

I did, even got a second opinion, they are short HAHA, Illl take pics later or something, sucks bc Im afraid to pull the engine without them.


Oh and waht do I set the lift to? 1/2 ton? 1 ton ect...

haha good point, its ok Ill just drill 2 new holes, just sucks bc its brand new and I got it all together, those are the last step and its giving me shit.

no, leave the bottom bolts that hold the upright post loose. Get the two back rods on, and then torque the shit out of the bottom two bolts for the upright. Those two bars are supposed to be tight as hell.

i take it you assembled a couple of these while working at Advance Auto?
I had that same problem my first time...having put together probably ten of them now however you've got the trick...the tension put on those bars adds stabilty to it..

Ok so the main upright bar you mean the one with the crane arm and hydraulic lift on it? Loosen the two bolts on the bottom of that then lean it back and attach the back supports? then tighten it all down like hella crazy?

yeah..that is only if the supporting straps are somewhat close...if they are more than an 1inch out place...perhaps talk with someone where you bought it...but if its close enough to only need to elongat the holes then use the stretch method.
