The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

So last night I was passing a local bar and saw a bunch of tuner cars parked in the lot and people milling around. I pulled in to see what was going on and it turns out they are street racers who have found a deserted backroad spot and have been racing there for 2 years! The local homeowners are cool with it and they line up cars and drag 1/4 mile. So I followed them to the spot and proceeded to race.

The good- I beat a probe V6 N/A easily

The bad- I lost to an AWD Lan-evo pushing 20lbs boost

The ugly- My credit card bill for my BIC DDP, magnaflow 14835 muffler and 3" mandrel bends to build the rest of the system with.

The best race was the supercharged 1972 Nova SS vs 1974 Corvette stingray - the nova won.

Like I told the people running the show, my car is stone stock except for FIPK and up until now there was no reason to boost the hp. Now I have some cars to run against, it's time for Celeste to wake up and breathe the clean air!

There are several "back roads" off on the outter city limits that cops with "Camaro's, Trans-Am's, Older muscle cars" go out and play. But when it comes down to an "Import" or "Tuner"...we get in trouble.

I am not a cop, have never been a cop, and I doubt I will ever be a cop.I have the utmost respect for cops, they take a lot of sh*t every day for low pay. I am and have been a mechanic for the last 22 years and own my own shop out in the backwoods of Wisconsin. I take no offense from your comments but you guys are the first to ever say that about me and I think it's funny as hell. Many people have told me that I use big words alot so in the interest of keeping the peace and lessening your fears i'll try to keep it under three syllables from now on. hehe i know the feeling, the first couple nights that i came out to the racing scene around here i had the same reaction, 50+ modded cars and some bikes all traveling in a pack, not giving a fuck. Basically owning the streets, a good feeling, like running with wild horses
