We now offically have the first tropical storm of the season, its not even the season... Tropical Storm Andrea is off our coast.

It's a "cold" tropical storm. Instead of being a system that feeds off heat, it feeds off cold. We all remember seeing these before in the movies right? The Day After Tomorrow.

It freaking sucks. Our old house in florida, if we had sold 2 years ago we would have gotten 800k. Then katrina and wilma hit, and now...

Well, the house has been on the market for 10 months, and price is 625. The south florida housing market TANKED, and my parents are PISSED.

The Florida market will come back, it always does. As I recall, the market for places in Florida actually increased after the hurricanes, but then obviously declined.

I dont think Floridian Real Estate will top out or bottom out anytime soon.

625k right? That's still a lot of money.. Given the house I'm living in now isn't even worth half that. :p

Yea, but when compared to the 800k they could have gotten 2 years ago, a $175,000 loss is HUGE. Still a nice profit margin, they bought the house in '99 for 240,000.

yeah, but it's not an actual loss until they actually sell it :)

So if it snows, will they stock winter tires in Florida ;)
