The 1jz ecu shortage

whats wrong with the UPGRADED ecu's or stand alone prices?

prices i've seen. Not too bad. Some times you can find an upgraded unit for 400/450.

250 for regular ECU
500 for an upgraded unit (Mines, Blitz, Sard)
800 for Stinger ECU + 200 harness + 200 02

Not all of us are ready to throw $1000 at a Stinger or $2000 at AEM. And the regular ECUs are averaging $400 on eBay and they are super rare around the forums.

I'd bring a few spares in from overseas, but I am not gonna waste my time and then get offered $125 for them

Just wanted to let you guys know theres plenty of ECU's here in 7M land.

woah.. regular ecus are going for 300+ now? damn.. glad i still have 1.. and to think only a year ago they were only worth ~ 150
