Test Pipe

well its na, auto, and i might be buying the 2.5 for 25 shipped, or should i just look for a 3 in for 60, money is a little tight right now.
On a relatively stock N/A you won't even see the same kind of difference you see on a cold day. If you do see a difference you're either imagining it or your cat was partially clogged. Personally, I'd look into a *GOOD* high flow cat for a couple different reasons... one being noise, especially on a N/A.
If you *insist* on a test pipe I'd stick with a 2.5", nothing larger than the diameter of the pipe and nothing smaller than the collector. A 3" would be liable to induce unwanted turbulence as the gas expands to fill the larger cavity and then hits a wall of sorts trying to fit back through a 2.5" outlet.

thanks for right now, untill my 5 speeed turbo sweap, ill stick with the 2.5 i thought about that to once it hits the 3in test pipe it is going right back to a 2.5 exhaust.
You're wasting your money, there are better gains to be had elsewhere. Whatever though... it's your car.

I was hoping I wouldn't just have to come out and say it, but at some less reputable establishments that N/A money ($25) would get you a lap dance... spend turbo money ($60) and she might even let you touch!
Another way to look at it is he's 1/4 of the way to owning 4 new KYB shock absorbers/dampers... not including tax or shipping.
But, I do hear ya Sparky... wasn't that long ago that I spent good turbo money (~$60) on replacing a piece of trim.
I really don't care, just trying to make sure he knows what to expect... That is to say that on a stock N/A you'll see as much performance as you would from a back alley hooker you paid up front. :naughty:
