while driving at freeway speeds the temp stays normal, but when i climb hills or boost it tends to go up. Also, when city driving the needle bounces around from normal 1/4 of the way up, all the way up to 3/4. i just replaced the radiator cap, considering a thermostat next (does this sound like a tstat issue?) and if so, is a toyota 190deg. the best one to use?

my aftermarket 180 cools the same as the toyo 190. Surprise! the 180 opens slower after it hits its mark where as the toyo one i have opens very quickly once at its mark.
