Depends how I feel. Sometimes I'll do 60 just because I'm in a relaxed mood and just want to enjoy the drive. but that's usually at like 12 at night when there's very little traffic.

sometimes i drive fast just to stay awake. i fell asleep once at a light on colorado and rosemead.

Well, you're NA :p I don't have to drive fast to up my adreneline. Boost makes you pay attention and I can do that at any speed.

I don't even drive that fast really but I do accelerate at WOT up to speed quite often.

I used to speed 5-15 over, maybe 20 over on our major highway.

But since turning 18 two years ago and not wanting a ticket, I now go the speed limit, maybe 10 over. Boulder is a terrible place to speed. :(

LOL! I feel bad for you dude. What's in that thing, one of those Cummins 310's pushing a 9 speed?

I'm glad I stopped doing that crap 20 years ago.

Then again, back then I had an air cooled 425 Cat pushing through a 15 double over in my KW 900L... I ran 3 logbooks and made a hell of a lot of money getting loads to places faster than was legally possible... Ah, the good 'ol days of being an outlaw...

I'll assume your business is like the rest of the world these days, no sense of humor. I'd probably go nuts. 64? Jesus. You guys probably make less per mile than we did back then too...

i'm at .43 a mile, and as a trainer i get all the miles the truck runs no matter who is att the wheel

truck is volvo, cummins isx, castrated to 400hp, 10speed
beleive it or not, i actually chose to come back to swift after that local job debacle, because no one has the freight network they do.

i'm not opposed to the slow speed when i have a trainee driving, i really don't want to die in my sleep.

and with gps systems, prepass ect, the company and dot pretty much know where you are and where you are headed anyway.shit, some co's are going to paperless logs. it's not even close to the same business it was 20 yrs ago, prolly why there is a massive shorage of drivers right now, i've seen companies offering 10k sign on bonuses for expierenced hands.

i can't complain, beats the packing house i spent 10 years in for a third of the pay
