I have only found one genre of music that I don't like, as a whole.

Polka.

Rock - Korn, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Drowning Pool, AC/DC, etc (This is by far my most listened to genre. I love rock, from Molly Hatchet to Breaking Benjamin)
Country - Brad Paisley (they are fucking FUNNY songs), Toby Keith, Trace Adkins, Montgomery Gentry
Rap - MC Hammer BITCHES! heh. I like very little rap, but most of it is rap that is spoken in proper fucking english. 'Grillz'? WTF is that?

Oh, and my personal favorite - Lil Jon and "Get Low" - "From the window to the wall!"

Exactly how fucking far is that? The window is IN the wall!! :3d_frown:

Compare that to something like this -

"Life is a bitch and then you die
still tryin' to get a peace of the apple pie
every game ain't the same, coz the game still remains
don't it seem kinda strange, ain't a damn thing change
if you don't work then you don't eat"

That's Coolio. I actually like a lot of Coolio's rap, because he's actually got a freaking meaning to what he's rapping about. I can respect that.

X-cutioners featuring Mike Shinoda, It's Goin' Down - that's another rap song I really like.

You might say I dislike most 'Gangsta' rap, and enjoy rap with some intelligence.

Anyway, lots of good music out there. Lots of shitty music out there. Remember, just because you don't like something, doesn't make it bad - it just means it doesn't do anything for you.

BTW - If you can't enjoy classical music for the feeling put into it, and the composer's intentions, then shoot yourself. You obviously are a waste of the life you were given! /sarcasm

But seriously, used to freak my mom out when I was in High School. She'd hear some Rammstein followed by Beethoven :)

like you said, polka is only good when you're drunk off your ass. hahah

uhhh

hey breezn'.. ever heard of Project 86? they're a christian band.. check them out, you might like 'em... well, if you like hardcore metal where you dont understand a single word they say..

a few(very few) bands/artists I like:

DragonForce
Massive Attack
Dave Matthews Band
Jack Johnson
REM
Smashing pumpkins
the RZA(surprised they werent mention in this thread)
Immoral Technique
Ayumi Hamasaki

I LOVE a lot of techno/trance/IDM(Aphex Twin, Daft Punk, and Infected Mushroom are currently @ my top 3)

country could be a lot better, but if someone plays it in their car, I wont jump out

I like classical, but dont know any artists specifically(other than the obvious ones) I usually just turn on the radio for that.

mainstream rap is to be avoided at all costs. its one of the main reasons I dont go clubbing.

metal is good to listen to while working on my car..

J-pop is a lot like trance.. thats why I like it I think..

check this out, its good for a laugh(its rap)

great musicians but IMO, they need a new singer. butt rock vocals FTL.

I kinda like it, for me it adds an odd sense of humor. I picture some 80s big hair rock singer. I put them in line with someone like Gwar, you gotta laugh while enjoying the music, they arent serious.

Also reminds me of Aqua teen hunger force, when master shake redoes the happy birthday song lol. I think of that episode every time the dragonforce singer hits a high note.

Not quite, since you know he is a man.

Can anyone be sure these days, I mean with a name like the rza anything can be true.

Ive use they to refer to a single person before. Like if someone tells me

'hey my friend will be here later, hes running late.'
I might reply 'why are they taking so long?' or 'I wish theyd hurry up.'

RZA, aka Bobby Digital is part of Wu Tang, one of my favorite rappers...Jedi Mind Tricks are also good underground rappers...

I started listening to them because they did most of the background music in Kill Bill, and I loved it. Once I got one of their albums, I was instantly hooked. they're just an amazing musician.

Kill Bill?

that was Killa Army, the west coast chapter of Wu-Tang...

also great..:D

The RZA is also listed in the beginning and end credits as a major contributing artist to the sound track.

its okay, though because I have the RZA discography, Most of the Wu-Tang music, and a little killa army.. but not much. enough to satisfy my sweet-music-tooth. hahah
