Hey ya'll

After researching the teins and various threads i'm a little bit confused

I def want teins and i want them with the edfc but i'm not sure which ones

I've looked at their app chart and it shows only Flex are available for the Ma70 and doesn't show the edfc as an option
yet......... for the jza70 & ga70 super streets with the edfc are available

wouldn't they actually be identical??? being the same chassis?

They'd be for a daily driver & for when dragwars starts again so fortnightly drag racing

Which would you recommend? and if i did get super streets they would fit my MA and so would the edfc?

Thanks :)

Well i have had a rid in Colie Car with the SS and a few other suspension mods and they ride pretty nice for street use.

Someone around here had a very good read though about Shocks and what suprises you find out there as well as a nice list of some of the better stuff to go with, they also mention that adjustable on the fly is not such a good idea.

If you read the thread you would probably go ohhhh and not want them adjusting on the fly either.

I will see if i can find the thread

the main thing also is that we can't get megan or ksport etc over here... and everyone that sells them there refuses to send via usps will only do fedex and for me that is unacceptable... example, need an fcon chip, costs $50odd bucks cool.. oh but wait shipping is also $50... that's rediculous

so i'm trying to go for stuff that is already here i.e tein and i don't wanna pay the price for hks... reason i'm going with tein is someone is in the business here and can get them for his cost ;) i.e. if i get ss with the edfc it will cost $1300usd whereas i realise that is the cost over there for ss but the shipping will cost at least $250usd so it's better off for me to buy here

thanks for helping :)

The EDFC is compatible with the Flex and SS. I have the Flex on the Supra, rides solid. About to install the SS on the Lexus GS.

The SS doesnt come with the pillow mounts. You will have to use your factory pillow mounts.

bigaaron: the ss price on your site is excellent!! along with the Flex

are you able to price up what it would cost to send to Auckland 0602, New Zealand as that would then decide what i do whether it's buy here or from you.

I have an obsession with tems like features so i would eventually get the edfc anyway lol

Rodel: i'm not up to scratch on suspension, could you explain further what the pillowball mounts actually do and look like? are they what we call the top hats on the springs? the part that bolts to the car?

Thanks ya'll :)

one other thing tho... i like my ride height at 2"/50mm drop, will the SS go that low or only the Flex?

One of the big advantages of the Flex coilovers is that the ride height is set independent of the spring preload. SS only has one adjustment for both. You can slam it (2" drop or more) with the Flex coilovers and still have a good ride.

The preload adjusters compress the spring and should only be used to fine tune the correct amount of sag. The initial hardness of the suspension will be increased by adding preload, but the overall spring rate does not change. So with a soft spring and too much perload, the suspension will feel stiff in normal driving, but the suspension will still bottom out easily in the corners and over bumps. With a stiff spring and too much preload, the suspension will feel too hard all the time. You also loose suspension travel when you want extra drop but only have a preload adjustment.
