Tein HA coilovers

I just bought a set of Tein HAs used from a fellow supramania member. My question is this: what is the first thing that you would recommend checking before I put them on the car. They did not come with the adjustment wrench or anything and they look like they are in pretty good shape....but i know about suspension about as much as I know about rocket science. Just looking for some pointers on the install as well as what should be done before i install. thanks

I guess check for leaks and clean them up would be your best bet.

If they're double height adjustable, I would set preload with them off the car, but you will need to get something to use to adjust the lower spring perch. If they're not double height adjustable, then just put them on the car and adjust ride height after. You could make it easier if you make sure the fronts and the rears are equal before putting them on the car. Or if whoever had them before didn't change anything after taking them off his car, you could just install them and hope for the best in terms of how the car sits.
