I would also like to try doing the crystal mod. Has anyone compared the electronics in the 87-88 ECU's with the 89-92 ECU's? Just wondering what different components are causing the early ECU's to hit the rev limiter later.

the lower rev limit is purely set by the SW in the ECU....
