Tec2 Standalone?

Fuzz420

Are U Here 2 take My Baby
Can you help me find some info on this unit. I tried googling to find a main site but i couldnt find one. I know theres a newer version out the tec3, but i need info about the tec2.

I have an opportunity to trade my maftpro out and go full standalone:) I dont have any crazy hp goals, maybe 500hp w/ racegas everyblue moon, but thats about it. Also this will be for tuning on my na-t. I just want the best affordable tuning possible. If theres any reason why i should or should not trade my maftpro for a tec2 speak up(unless your trying to get my trade ;))

Any help is appreciated.

hmm guess beating Duane to this post :)

The tec2 works fine. Just be mindfull of the ECU prom that MIGHT dislodge (Duane was lucky, Melloyello was not). Also the tec2 just like the tec3 and tec3r require a 60-2 crank trigger wheel be fitted on the crank.

For ideas check out Duane (upgradedsupra) or Ultra7m (over in the car domain) for crank trigger ideas ;)

electromotive TEC is ok and can run anything but you need custom spak and ignition components so if you want to keep the stock stuff for 1jz/2jz it sucks.

like he said above you need to fabricate your 60 tooth sprocket to your crank pulley and tec2 is verry old late 90's early then tec 3 came out around 4-5 years ago.

Hey John,

nice of you to be onboard here :)

btw Might give you a jingle on the RayChem DR-25 stuff ;) Had to put it on hold while some work was performed on the car :)

Good to be here! Seems like a pretty low key forum, I like that.

I usually stock quite a bit of the DR-25, and can get whatever you need. You can PM me here or just hit my email up if you need anything.

or you can do what duane did and machine the 60-2 teeth right onto the crank ;) Makes for cleaner look :)
