TEAL Supra dilemma !!!!

Ok, let me hear your opinions.....
I've decided to give the entire body of the car a makeover..
"pimp my pile"

Anyways, due to scratches, fading paint, and an a**hole of a cousin-in-law who decided to kick in my passenger fender I've decided to strip this car down and repaint it.
Here's my dilemma, my car is 1992 Supra Teal and I have most of the body work and sanding complete, less the front bumper and nose (PAIN IN THE ARSE). The factory color code is 749-Teal Metallic. I know the rarity of this color, I also know that not many people really like the original color of my car.
SO..........it's crunch time and I need help to pick out new color...I've gone through all the "official color threads" and I am leaning towards a type of red, preferrably Candy Apple Red, I've seen this on many different cars throughout the web and seems nice, or should I stick with the PPG color mix that will match this factory color the closest ???
TELL ME YOUR GUY'S THOUGHTS...Help to make this Soup 'shine' agian !

Keep it OEM. I always wanted a supra that color...
Red is over done in my opinion... and it gets you noticed way more (good and bad)

How about this, you drive the teal car to CT, Ill repaint it teal and you can take my white shell and paint it candy apple red.

Just sucks that the PPG color mix is not the original OEM mix, since it has been discontinued......ARRRGH.

And how bout this , I'll drive to conneticut, let you paint it teal, and I'll take the white supra, You give me 1JZ motor complete with it and I will take THAT back home.....:biglaugh:

Man, Teal is so hot. I've never seen one in my life they are so rare down here.. (all we have in Alberta is white ones, burgundy, and rarely a blue one thats it)

Best of all worlds, sunroof, black leather interior, factory sunroof, and hopefully 5-speed by the weekend. I love my Supra

Keep it Teal. If you repaint your car, it looses value when color changes. Teal is a very nice color..and this comes from someone who wanted nothing but black Supras in the past. Now I have a Teal Supra and it has grown on me, not to mention the compliments I get. Keep it factory color.

PLease repaint the car the same color. Thats one of the prettiest colors for the supra. Not to be an asshole but, why should you care about what others think about your car, it's yours.

I agree about that, I know it's my car. But it's always good to get opinions of others, I get a feel for what is the most ideal color for a car. I like the teal, if I keep teal I just wonder how "off" the color is going to be than original.

Nocheez.....what paint did u use when u repainted? I have the quote and code for the PPG brand, and House of Kolor does not match factory paints, only custom colors. Any help on the color match ??
